He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1990 and began specializing at Inonu University Faculty of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine in the same year.
He started specializing in Cardiology Department in Istanbul at Haydarpaşa Hospital in 1992.
In 1993, he completed his short military service in Erzurum Fyzy Çakmak Military Hospital.
In 1993, he transferred to the Department of Cardiology, Inonu University School of Medicine.
Between 1995-1996, he specialized in Interventional Cardiology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine (Avicenna Hospital).
In 1996, he became an assistant professor in the Department of Cardiology.
In 1997 he became deputy director of the hospital. He also took an active part in establishing the Center for Interventional Radiology andcardiac catheterization NSTurgut Ozal Center Cardiology clinic in the same period.
He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 1999.
In 1999-2001, he was the Head of Cardiology Department at Inonu University.
He received the title of Professor (Professor) in 2005.
He worked in the field of Interventional Cardiology in Germany at the Heart Clinic of the Bremen Hospital of Oldenburg and the Cardiology Clinic of the Utrich-Alexander Hospital in the Netherlands for a short time on different dates.
Between 2005-2008, he served as Vice President of the Interventional Working Group of the Turkish Society of Cardiology.
In 2008, he was elected Chairman of the Interventional Working Group of the Turkish Society of Cardiology.
He has over 100 national and international articles and papers related to his field of expertise.
He has served as a chapter author on books on Clinical Cardiology, Pharmacology and Interventional Cardiology.
He is a scientific consultant in Cardiology Network, Cardiology Seminars, Turkish Society of Cardiology Archive, Interventional Cardiology and Anatolian Cardiology Journals.
He is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology and the Turkish Medical Association.
Between 2004-2006, he worked as a press spokesperson in Malatyaspor.
He also served as Dean of Inonu University Faculty of Medicine in the following years, most recently as Head of Cardiology Department and Board Member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology.
Prof. Dr. Ramzan Özdemir is currently working in the Department of Cardiology at Bizlimalem Vakiv University and is the Dean of its Faculty of Medicine. He is married, has two children, and speaks English well.
